The foreskin is celebrated in Song and Poetry at the 1st link below.
The natural skin system of the penis is truly a marvel of nature. It allows the penis to be durable and discreet at one moment and remarkably pleasure-receptive the next. All mammals on earth and in the sea (except bats, for some reason) have evolved a retractile foreskin.
The portion of skin usually removed in circumcision includes over half of the sensual nerve endings and would grow to about 16 square inches of sensitive mucosal erogenous tissue in an adult. The foreskin protects the sensitivity of the glans and the pink mucosal skin just below the glans.
The foreskin provides a means for a rolling/gliding mode of natural stimulation which is like a plush frictionless bearing. The frenulum - the connective tissue which helps the foreskin revert to covering the glans after an erection - is the male neurological homologue to the clitoris. As with women, intact men can be brought to climax by careful tickling of just this exquisitly sensitive part.
About 80% of the world's men are fortunate enough to be intact. They have no unusual health, hygiene, or social problems. It is worth noting that mostly-cut USA has a higher rate of HIV transmission than mostly-intact Europe. In fact, 450,000 American men who were cut at birth have died of AIDS since 1980, and so circumcision obviously does not protect one from getting AIDS. Circumcision also does not prevent penile cancer, cervical cancer in a man's partner (see 3rd link, from the Israel Medical Association), epilepsy, insanity, or masturbation, despite ridiculous claims throughout the superstitious past.
The foreskin is a wonderful natural part of the anatomy that needs no more special care than do eyelids. Parents DO NOT have a decision to make upon the birth of a son. The choice about circumcision morally belongs only to an informed adult regarding only HIS OWN body.
HIS body, HIS decision.

It's a natural body part on male humans. It keeps the head of the penis protected. It should never be cut off unless you have some really rare disease. It looks kind of cute and enhances the sexual experience for both men and women. And it's NOT dirty unless you never take a shower! That's a myth.
