If you had told me in April that The Tigers would be in the playoffs this year, I would have said "No Way! You're Crazy!"
But here they are with at least the wild card.
I hope they go far, I really do.
But, in all honesty, I fear The Yankees.
I know that if The Tigers have to face them it will probably be not good for Detroit.
But, as a Tiger fan, I have enjoyed this magical season so much that I can't even begin to tell you just how pleased I am.
I'm interested to know how other Tiger fans feel about this season so far.
And yes, you Yankee fans can bash away if you want.
After all I deserve it the way I've been dogging you lately.

As a Yankee fan and an avid reader of your questions... I appreciate your honestly.... However I think the Tigers deserve to make it, after look who the manager is... Jim Leyland, his last title came witht he Marlins in 1997. I fear the Tigers more than anyone in the playoffs, just for Leyland's manageral skills... since he plays small ball when needed and power isn't he main weapon like the Yankess. Remember how Jose Mesa lost the World Series to the Marlins' Edgar Renteria single with two outs and that was small ball.... Unlike the Yankees have power on their side... and sometimes small ball can overcome power... like in the World Seires of 1997. Let's just hope the better team wins..... Another example of small ball is the 2001 World Series with Luis Gonzales of the Diamondbacks against none then the Yankees.

Congrats to all you Tiger fans. I know you have waited a long time for this. We Reds fans have waited awhile for the Reds to turn around and what happens, they tank at the end. Oh well, since the Reds are not going to make it, I will probably "root" for the Tigers to win it all. I want to see the Yankees blow it in the playoffs and I hope it is either to the Tigers or Twins. I think these teams are much better than the Yankees. I don't see anyone from the NL winning the World Series this year, even though the Mets have the best chance of that.

You know how I feel GP. This season was the most pleasant surprise a Detroit sports fan could ask for. It's been like Christmas all season long. To finally care about the Tigers, about Detroit baseball has been a treat, and even if they don't go all the way I will still applaude them, and wait with bated breath for next season.

I'm so glad to see the Tigers with a winning record and an assured playoff spot. They have not been in the playoffs since before I was born, and now they've finally done it. I'm glad to see them make the playoffs, but it would be great to see them get to the world series. Go Tigers!

Georgie boy, listen to me.
Do NOT fear the Yankees. Trust me, I see them enough here, at least when the Met game is on a commercial. Randy Johnson and Jaret Wright both suck. Mussina hasnt been that great since the break. Only Wang is doing well for them.
Tigers can beat the Yankees in a playoff series. Just fear the Mets.
