Benefit : A speedier method of transfering a gene of interest even in cases whwere distant hybridisation is not possible including unrelated organisms.
Concern : Genes do not act as independent entities and when a gene is transfered it may carry with it some unknown traits which we don't know what it will result into. Inagrl. gene flow problems and development of monster weeds ( super weeds)has been predicted.

Pro : The ability to cure diseases such as MS by the recoding of genes.

Cons: The misuse to generaing to create "perfect" babies thereby losing the diversity that makes us what we are as a species. Our diversity makes us strong.
