You can take the basic dimensions from any Big Block GM/Chevy motor. The only variables would be the overall height from oil pan to air cleaner or intake, and clearance for the distributor to the firewall.. That would depend on what type of fuel intake system and ignition system you were planning for the car. A blower would be much taller overall than a carburetor or EFI set-up. Probably the biggest worry would be the engine width with the headers/exhaust attached. You might have a problem with inner fenderwells clearing the exhaust, and that would require you to fabricate them...or do without them......(messy in the rain). Once the motor fits in the engine compartment, you can measure from the intake manifold sealing surface at the front of the block, and add the total height of the intake system. You can go as tall as you want with hood scoops, cutting an opening in the hood, or running with no hood at all (check local laws).
