Spanking i think is a way to discipline them and they will turn out fine. You see America is the only country that isn't allowed to touch their children and look what our children do, i have friends from other countries where fathers beat the hell out of their kids when they do something bad, and they turn out great they are over here getting our kids jobs because our kids arent getting what they need from parents. I would discipline my kid with spanking if it was bad enough, some things may be time out punishment or grounding or no tv you get the point but somethings they need a good hit on the rear-end

My kids are all over the age of 21.I can count on 1 hand the amount of times I spanked them on the butt and it was basically a tap to say Hey Listen.I do not suggest spanking as a total measure of discipline at all.Talk Talk and talk some more thats what I did anyways.It seems to have worked they are all well adjusted and they do bring up the fact that My mom never hit us to this day. With the popular tv show The Nanny,there are all kinds of ingenius ways to punish a child without taking away their dignity or physically hurting them.To me excessive spanking is just a way for the adult to release their stress period! But once in a while a little tap is warranted ,and i mean a tap on the butt.and you are right it doesnt teach kids to reason out problems it teaches them to hit.They usually emulate what they see or what has been done to them.

If their spanks mean for teaching their children what is right or wrong then it would be fine. I don't think spanking would consider a violence action. Like me, I used to be spanked by my Dad and Mom a lot because I was so messy, I didn't listen to them or I misbehaved. At first, they only reminded me, but when I got out of control and didn't listen to them, they spanked me and I knew that it have gone too far then I would stop. I think spanking is another way for parents to remind their children to watch out their behaviors as long as that spank will not too painful !

A good firm smack with the hand isn't bad as a last resort. Nothing that would leave a bruise. The parents should give them "the look" or verbally tell them to behave first. If all else fails, then yes, spank them. My parents would give me one wack on my little behind and I shaped right up. I never thought of it as violence. I don't believe in grabbing, shaking, repeated hitting, or taking a child over the knee.

right here we flow again... Spanking one's baby is lower than no circumstances considered baby abuse. A spank is a swat/2 on the bottom, no longer something extra, no longer something in any respect that brings emotional and actual turmoil to the youngster. Spankings do not practice that hitting is nice, i changed into spanked as a baby, as were my siblings. We by no skill grew as a lot as be violent. i'm so very sorry that you've been abused as a baby. Please, search for help, confer with a therapist, you sound like you're hurting. those who've the viewpoints as you've been more beneficial than likely abused themselves. Abuse is what leaves emotional and actual trauma, abuse is what would instill violence. mum and dad have the right to spank a baby at the same time as needed. instructors don't have the parental rights over our youthful toddlers at the same time as they are at school.

i would not tell you what to do but getting spanked in my family didn't do any harm. the only reason my kids got spanked was for lying. i tried to teach them that no matter what they did if they always told the truth they would never be spanked. i figured that kids lie out of fear so by them not lying they had nothing to fear. they were punished and they were even told off for hours at a time like we mothers do, but they learned not to lie and to take responsibility for their actions.one thing , i have never believed in slapping a child in the face, but i have popped one in the mouth for talking to me with disrespect. notice i said one. all it takes is one child to be disciplined and the rest fall into line.

Spanking isn't always the most affective alternative.
Regardless of their age, put a chair in a corner, give them time out on the chair, make sure they're reminded to think about what they did & why it was wrong... & don't forget they're there in the corner if you get busy doing something.

When my 5 year old gets in trouble we make her sit in chair were she can't see the T.V. or play with her toys its the worst punishment for a child a spanking only hurts for a second and why would you purposly inflick pain on your child.

It is nothing bad in spank your own kids......sometimes it is the only way they will listen.......you have to talk with the kid before if they dont listen after being spank they will.......it dont have to be hard of course!!!
