do rabbits see in black and white or in color like us?

which animals do see in black and white like dogs, and which ones dont?

Yes, rabbits do see in color...some colors they see better than others (like Ms. Lee said, orange and green they see very well), they are also attracted to red, yellow, and other bright, vibrant (such as hot pink) colors. This being said, a rabbit will rely on it's sense of smell more than it's eye sight to find food, locate it's owner, etc...this is because they have a very large area that they cannot see in (rabbits have a very wide blind spot in front and behind them--this is why if you stick your hand right up against a rabbit's nose to be smelt, you might get nipped at where as if you hold your hand out about 6 inches away, they'll hop up and give you kisses--from the tip of their nose to about 6 inches in front of them, they are blind to everything in that area. Same goes for behind them...from the tip of their tail to about 6 inches behind, they are also blind. Anything else, they can see very well. In fact, did you know that rabbits can see what's in front of them, what's to both sides of them, and what's behind them all at the same time? Try processing all that data at once! It's amazing they don't run into things more often! Hope it helps.

I have heard a couple of times that rabbits only see the colors orange and green and thats the reason why they are so attracted to veggies and carrots. I guess the rest of the colors they see in black and white.

I am not sure if they see black and white or not, but I dont think that they can just see green and orange. They eye doesnt really work like that, that they can just see two colors, its more of a spectrum. Anyway, if I had to venture a guess, I would say that they saw color, maybe just not the same way as people do.
