I'm a communications major and I'm being asked to do a paper for environmental science on an issue, past or present. I feel that I'd like to relate the science paper to a topic in my field so that a) I'm interested and b) I learn something worthwhile to ME while researching.

Can anyone throw out some issues for a paper that involve the environment & the media??

I'd be so appreciative.
