I know how to hang and finish drywall, just currios on how much to charge per square foot on both hanging and finishing. can anyone help me? I dont want to overcharge.

i'd be more concerned with under-charging than over-charging... if you "over-charge" and they still accept your bid, they must be fine with the cost - but if you under-charge, then realize you're losing money, not a whole lot you can do at that point...

it's good to know what a "going" rate is, but realize that bidding is not an exact science - if you already know how to hang and finish, calculate how much time it'll take you to do the job you're bidding, determine how much money it'll take for you to cover your expenses (material, labor, transportation, insurance etc.), then figure what type of profit you need to continue in business - and you're pretty much set. if your rate then happens to fall within a "going" rate, great - if not, walk away from jobs you can't make any money at...

Current rate is $1.75 a square foot, or $56 a sheet, for a non-fire rated, standard wall. Good Luck

Dude, I don't wanna bust your bubble, but shouldn't you have some experience BEFORE you bid for a job like that? Its not something you can do well with written instructions. Its best to learn by doing it with someone who's got some experience.
