I think that would be a little ego centric of us as a planet to believe we are the only ones in the entire universe, but in our particular solar system it is very unlikely that there is other life.

I do believe there are other things out there in the solar system. I mean, I think that God, in my opinion, made more then just "us" out here. Think about it. We are in this solar system and, so far, we are the only living things in this solar system. Does that means that there aren't other solar systems out there that may think they are the only living ones, too? It makes me wonder. I think God is just siting back and seeing which civilization is bent on destroying themselves. So far, God is saddened, amazed, amused and downright angry with so many things Earth has going on for them.
Just my opinion, but, if God made the world in 7 days, don't you think that He made more planets and civilization and everything else up until now? Really. that is what I think. But, I am too worry about what I am doing, what I would like to do, and trying to pay my bills and stay afloat not to worry about the aliens and other alien life out there.

Since I am pretty convinced I saw an extra terrestrial space craft, I would have to say that I believe in them though I guess there is always the slightest doubt that what I saw was something that the millitary made though it is the slightests of doubts. I do think we are probably the only ones in the solar system but not gallaxy.

So far, it's looking more and more likely that we are the only ones in our solar system - but who knows what we might find in the future....?
But our sun is one of billions of stars in our Galaxy. That's a potential of billions of solar systems. And there are billions of galaxies in the universe.
Now it's looking more and more likely there is life out there somewhere!

If we are still finding new species unknown to man I would say we are the Aliens. Hell we don't even know about other Human cultures all that well. What's the first thing that comes to mind when seeing a new species? Trap it,show it off, dissect it. Why wouldn't something else more intelligent do the same to all our bounty on this planet?

The other areas of the solar system would seem to be inhospitable to life as we know it - but then again, we have found some pretty amazing living things in places on Earth where you wouldn't think anything could live...
So I think it's unlikely, but I wouldn't rule anything out completely!
And as Eric Idle says, "You better hope there's intelligent life out there somewhere, 'cause there's bugger-all here on Earth"...!

In the solar system? Yes, we are alone.
In the galaxy? Maybe.
In the universe? Probably not, but they'd be so far away we would never be able to communicate with them.

Just because I haven't physically seen something doesn't mean it isn't so. I keep my mind open to all sorts of super natural things. I believe in ghosts & hauntings, aliens (it's possible), psychics, GOD, satan. Anything is possible. You can't be close minded to the idea...skepticism causes doubts, fears, all because of the UNKNOWN...
