Jesus has brought Christianity in the world. It was the unifying force behind Western civilization that kept it together through the dark ages. It is responsible for Western identity, one of the most influential cultures in the world today. There are more than a billion Christians (or people living in Christian countries) today.
Christianity (Along with Judaism) is also instrumental in giving Mohamed the philosophical foundation without which Islam wouldn't have been possible. 1.2 billion people live under Islam today.
Christianity was also the model for philosophy throughout the middle ages. The dilemmas posed by Christian theology fed western thought and gave philosophy and logic the shape they have today in the West. Theologians, not natural scientists, were the first to rediscover Aristotle and lay the foundation of logical inquiry and rational debate.
I could go on... There are the arts, ethics, political thought, etc, etc...

Of course, Jesus has had 2 000 years to let his influence grow. Bill gates has had a little over two decades. Will he be a match in 2 000 more years, though? Well, I, for one, seriously doubt it.

I would say hands down with out a down, JESUS is more important than Bill Gates. Jesus gave his life to save us, ALL of us. Bill Gates just created some software that makes our lives easier. We could ALL live with out it. We did before or thousands of years. I'm not saying Mr. Gates is worthless just that what he's done isn't on the same scale as Jesus.

The ideas of Jesus are relatively simple ones. Anyone can expound them. But Gates has done a wonderful job by creating Microsoft.

For sure there are some people that can do the same thing that Bill Gates has done or take control of Microsoft, But no one can do what Jesus has done or any of his miracles!

Jesus hands down. No matter how you look at it Bill Gates can help people out sometimes, however, Jesus Christ saves souls from eternal damnation.

Shame on you! You know in your heart what the answer is.

dollars and cents, although he might be a worthy person.

If this means valuing one life over another I would say they are equally important. Also, both are no more or less important than you or I.
