I am assuming you are using Windows XP. Before you start to re-install anything on your computer make sure any important documents are backed up.
If you are using Windows XP that operating system will automatically install drivers for your hardware/devices. All other software programs such Word/excel will have to be re-installed to the computer using the original disks.

it all depends on the age of your computer also which Windows you are installing on your computer.... if you are installing Windows 2000 or XP there's a pretty good chance that all your devices will work without a problem if not then you might have a little issue. As for getting the software that you need for each device that wont work...you'll have to go to each one's website and download the drivers 90% of these will be free. The DVD and CD burner really wont have a problem with XP....but the DVD playback will you'll probably have to buy something for that like... WinDVD and that's available online......so good luck but for the most part it'll be ok

Every thing will work the same as before when you install, as long as you have the software, i.e. Burning software etc.

if your dvd / cd burner is from leading brand, chances are your OS will recognize that but if not, get ready the driver CD.
If you misplace the driver CD, try searching on the internet for your burner. Make sure you get the specific model driver.
