Ours was out for 3 weeks once. It turned out to be because the hydro meter in our house, had burnt out wiring, and we had to bring in an electrician to repair and upgrade our wiring. had to stay at my parents house for 3 weeks. Not fun!

woah 10hrs is longgg... mine is just less than an hour. but it's hell already. dark everywhere (when its night time) and very hot. its even hotter when we use candles so that wont waste the batteries for torchlights. and i cant watch tv!
but im glad im living in my country where the chance of getting the electricity cut off is minimal.
its only when such incidents happen that we appreciate the little things in life.

wow, I remember a year ago we had an electrical outage for about a day ( 24 hours)......I didn't think it would ever come back on, the electrical outage was because of a squirrl did something that caused it to go out for the whole neighborhood....

7 days, we had an ice storm 2 years ago and it messed **** up. I stayed at my local bar because they had a generator and alcohol.
