How many of these wireless systems does it come with? I have pokemon ruby, and I would like to trade back and forth, but I need to know if I would have to buy another one of those wireless trading systems or a link cable to trade b/w the two games. I have an original link cable that I used w/ the gameboy pocket, but I don't think that that specific one is compatible with the sp or even the gameboy advance. Thanks for your time!

pokemon fire/leaf has the option to use the wireless trading, OR linking through a cable

the GB/GBC link you used for game boy pocket doesn't work for GBA, as i'm sure you've already found out there is no place where the cable fits

when you buy fire or leaf, it comes with one wireless adapter

pokemon ruby/sapphire cannot use the wireless adapter - you need the link cable. emerald can use the adapter after certain requirements have been met.

one last thing. to trade from fire/leaf to sapphire/ruby/emerald, you need to beat fire/leaf's elite four, and also complete the number islands quest to finish making the time machine to travel forward in time to ruby/sapphire/emerald's time

if you remember from gold/silver/crystal, you needed a time machine to trade with red/blue/yellow, because red/blue/yellow (fire/leaf were remade from these-perhaps there will be a thunder yellow?) was 3 years in the past.
