They are supposed to pay YOU... not the other way around. I would not trust it.

Apart from the fact that it is a terrible idea, and also illegal, it is almost impossible. You would need a body to declare someone dead. Unless you have a spare corpse laying around somewhere, it is practically impossible. Only maybe if you took off with a small boat and then they found the boat but not you, they might declare you dead after searching for a while. Still a terrible idea though. Plus, how do you plan on living after you're declared dead? Use you ID or passport, and they'll catch you in an instant. Are you gonna go and purchase a fake ID from your friendly neighborhood identity theft gang? How do you plan on renting without an ID you can use? What happens if you need medical care, and they realize who you are? Missing person's DNA usually go into a database, so that they can match the body if it is found later. Again, it is almost impossible to fake your death. And it is definitely impossible to live after you've been declared dead, especially as a 17 years old. Whatever you're going through, try to find different ways of dealing with it. Stay over at your friends' if your problem is with your home life. Talk to a school counsellor if it's with school. Call social services if you're being abused in any way, physically or emotionally.
