I've had to have my gallbladder removed beacause of a large stone that was blocking it. The symptoms I incurred were exteme heartburn that wouldn't go away pain under the right side of my ribcage and some distressing changes in my bowel movements that scared me however I never had neck or shouder pain from it If you have a swollen place it could be a number of things including a hernia which can be painful or an infection of some kind best thing to do is go ahead with the ultrasound and let them take a look It's painless and cann relieve your worries good luck

All symptomps you describe points to gall stones.
It can be triggered by carbonated drinks, anything that gives you gas - cabbage, cauliflower, lentils, beans, raw vegetables etc..
It starts from under and slightly below the ribcage, travels to the back, neck, shoulders and arms. You also vomit. Nothing in the world will make the pain go away unless you get a needle of demorahl (given by your doctor of course). The shot settles it until the bout of next attack.
I sympathize with anyone who has gall or kidney stones. Man, it is brutal.
Nowadays they do not make large incisions to do surgery. I heard that they use high energy sound waves to break them apart and let it pass thru your bile duct.
Next, cut out high animal fat (lard), oils and cheese (54% fat). Drink milk but not too much. Use skim if you can to get all the benefits of milk.
Yup, you may have a gall stones.Ultrasound gives you an idea of whether the stones exist and how large. But to get rid of it, you have go thru procedure. After you get rid of it, you will feel like a human again.

I had gall bladder problems..... it can get pretty serious.... my doctor checked by having me lay flat he 'curled' his fingers near my right rib cage had me take a deep breath...... causing excruciating pain....... then he immediately recommended an ultrasound. The daily pain was associated with eating greasy foods..... the only relief was a cold compress on my back while bending forward...... have it checked out.... I almost died from it.

it certainly sounds as if it could be gall bladder. If you regular doctor didn't satisfy your concerns, see a gastroenterologist and get it settled.
