This depends upon the mineral and the rock.
Volcanic minerals can cool to form basalt or granite rocks. This is also true of geodes as rocks. Disolved minerals can form limestone given time and pressure. The minerals in sand can form sandstone.

All minerals cool from molten rock that is produced inside the earth. They cool to form igneous rocks. This minerals can be rearranged and changed (in sedimentary rocks and metamorphic rocks), but they all start from cooling magma/lava.
