I live in the U.S. and have been almost everywhere in the U.S. and want to explore other countries. I have already been to England, France, and Italy. I'm open to any continent.

Tenerife, Canary Islands.

Not Europe, not even Spain, really. The only thing in common (besides being part of Spain, of course) is the language and even then is a totally different form, sounds much like latin-american spanish,(Venezuela, Cuba... ) even food (absolutely DELICIOUS) is totally different from the typical spanish fare.

Actually november up to say dec 15th is the best time to visit. You can go from the beach (summer temperatures) to freezing weather (lots of snow in january) in like 2 hours. Unbeleivable place. They got deserts, volcanoes, and really thick forests, ranging from tropical to alpine vegetation. Huge mountain ranges, great views from everywhere. It's like they say there, "el universo en miniatura" A miniature universe. True. Spring weather all year round.

I go there almost every year (usually in January or February).

Have fun!

Have to agree with IslandGuy, Tenerife!
Stay in the south of the island the northern part can get much colder!
If you only have a week and travel very far you will be suffering from jet-lag both on your holiday and when you get back.

New Zealand!!!! It will be coming into summer down there. It is way more beautiful than Australia, friendly people, easy to get around, tons to do and see, and cheap [US dollar is strong in Kiwi Land]. Been there lots myself, you won't be disappointed.
