hot steam, breathe thru your mouth in a nice hot shower, or poor boiling water into a bowl, put your face over the bowl, cover head with towel and breathe thru your mouth. Works pretty well for me.

- Drink lots of warm water
- Do vocal warm-ups everyday even if you don't have speaking engagement
- Plenty of sleep / rest
- read about gargle with salt water for emergency cases. Good luck and let me know the result.
