Yes..I've even been there. My friends lived in Hiawatha, Kansas which is just down the road from you...we took a drive up there and had a meal in a Chinese place.

Erica S., you live in a beautiful part of the country and don't let any naysayers tell you different. Having close access to the Ozarks and the beautiful lakes in your area gives you a chance to see nature up close and beautiful, plus one thing that you have that is better than here in Arizona is four seasons. So enjoy St. Joseph it is a great place and people should go there before they say anything bad about it.
I almost forgot you are also fairly close to Branson, Mo., the entertainment capital of the midwest.

My sister and her husband lived there after they got married. They were there for about a year while he taught at a college there. She was miserable. The happiest day of her life was when they moved.

HI.....coincidentally, I was writing back and forth with a guy for a little bit who lived there. He responded to one of my yahoo questions and we started talking. Don't know what happened, he just quit writing and he was the one who was so gung ho at first....HIS LOSS!
