The final week is going to be interesting.
Minnesota has 4 against KC while The Tigers play The Blue Jays.
Toronto is not going to roll over and play dead.
This will Minnesota's chance to take the division.
But the last weekend The Tigers play KC
and Minnesota is at home against the white sox.

With a win today Minnesota could move to within 1 game of The Tigers.

Will it go down to the final game of the season for division title?

Either way The Tigers are in the post season.
But as a Tiger fan I fear The Yankees, and hope Minnesota takes the wild card.

Your Thoughts?

I think it is pretty safe to say the white sox are no longer in the playoff picture.

I don't mind if the Tigers win the division. The Twins have no reason to fear the Yankees. Johan Santana will be set up to pitch 2 games of the series and that may be all the security the Twins need.

I'm certainly not as worried about the Tigers as I was a week ago.
The Tigers are a different team with Polanco in the lineup, and I'm guessing Leyland will play him 2 games of the Toronto series, and rest him against KC, since they should have no problem with the Royals (as was the case all year).
I also expect the Sox to give the Twins a tougher time than the Jays will give the Tigers.
If the Tigers sweep the Royals, and take 2 of 3 from Toronto, Minny would have to go 6-1?
I'm not sure I see that happening, they would probably do well to go 5-2, which means the Tigers could go 4-2 and still clinch. Very doable, IMHO.

As long as the Tigers play the way they are, Tigers will take the Devision. Congrats to them. Jim Leyland has done a great job this year.

But you have to remember the Twins have alot of trouble playing Kansas City so they might get pushed back a bit. Even though Kansas City has the worst record, the Twins just can't seem to do anything magical against them.

I the Twinkie Fan am scared of the Yankies as well. The Twins only won 2 out of... however many games these two teams have played this year.

I will be honest GP. The prospect of facing the Yankees is terrifying. No lie. I pray that the Blue Jays will be good boys and lay down for the Tigers. We can take the A's, and the Twins can take the Yankees. If the Twins beat the Yanks and we beat the A's, I'd be more comfortable with that LCS. To face the Yanks off rip is an unsettling thought because of their vast post-season experience, compared to the Tigers' slim experience.

The Tigers are limping into the playoffs, the Twins have been on fire for over three months, they will take the division.

It will go down to the final weekend, but who wins, I don't know. It is very exciting to see this. The NL wildcard race is just as exciting too. It will be interesting to see who wins that race too.

Tough call dude. I think the Tigers are gonna hold on and win, but probably only by one game, but hey, that all that matters. Just please god, Twins or Tigers....one of you beat the Skankees.
