How do I get the shine back on my marble floors?

We had marble floors installed in our kitchen 2 years ago, and although I have sealed them several times and use the cleaners I was told to, they have an etched look in the main areas. Can I buff them myself, or do I have to hire a professional?
p.s. I don't think I would reccomend marble floors in a kitchen to anyone. Although they are attractive, I don't think it was a very practical decision on my part. Hindsight....

you need to wax and polish you floor monthly
