all its doing id idling too low,,the iac can cause this to happen,,and also a clogged up air filter will do it too,,anything that stops it from breathing good will cause it,even the breather pipe on it,,check it all real good and if you don't fine it you may have to take the iac valve off and clean it,,or have it done,,i own a repair shop,,and do this all the time,,all of the things you need to do are fairly simple if you,ll take your time you can do them good luck with it i hope this help,s.

The battery light flickers because the RPM's of your motor are dropping below the speed necessary to turn your alternator fast enough to provide a charge to your battery. The problem is not your battery or alternator, but the low RPM of the motor. Don't know what make or year car you have, but if this happens with the A/C on, it could be a servo on the throttle linkage that boosts the idle speed when the A/C is running. Take it to your dealer or prefered auto mechanic.

its not the battery i would go for breather pipe but try to turn tick over up a fraction to see if that cures it even if you do it by the throttle cable just to see

Sounds like diodes in the alternator. Take it off and have it checked at your local auto parts center. Usually no charge!
