the storyline is to simple initially i thought is good cause they spend 300 million US on that movie

I agree - I thought Superman Returns was OK but it was pretty much ruined by that stupid B-story of Superman having a child. I mean, really... what a pile of cr*p!!!
It was no patch on the fantastic Batman Begins.

the day of the movie blockbuster is long gone. back when the original Superman was out, it wasn't far fetched to hear people saying that saw it twice, 3x's, etc. as far as superhero films are concerned, it was one of, if not the first major motion pictures which gave it that extra "umph", if u will. but fast forward to 2006, we've have to suffer thru countless sequels of Superman, we've had Spawn, Daredevil, Hulk, Fantastic 4, X-Men, etc. and all this has reduced the effect of it being an epic.

I agree...Superman 1 was my favorite, but for a sequel 20 something years later...it was really good.
