I have this really irritating workmate, he contributes negatively to everything i say and do. he always wants to make me look bad in front of everyone and the worse thing is that he is everyone`s favorite .
He recenlty had an opreation so every one is all goody witty nice nice to him, only i can see him for what he really is, .
He really picks on me and makes my life a nightmare.
Cant complaint to the boss coz he is his favorite, tried talking to him but he brushes me off all the time, what can i do? really want to kill him.

ah office politics. I work in an office as well and its the same where ever you go.
If its possible, just try to go along with your job involving him as little as possible. and if you cant do that, youre going to have
to get this resolved somehow, are you so unlikable that if you asked to have a confernce with you him and your boss that they'd ignore you? im sure they wouldnt and then you can get whatever your pissed about off your chest. and if you cant have that, and other people still ignore yor pleas, then maybe you need another place if employment b/c its not fair that you can't get your opinions expressed and when they ask ehy your leaving, you can say that noone gave you a chance to resolve this issue.

Had the same problem. Go above your boss. Document each time he does this, and tehn you will have ground to stand on. But go to your Human Resources department or the corporate bosses. Good luck.

You teach people how to treat you, and if you carry yourself at work as someone who allows themselves to be harassed by anyone it is you who has given over you power to the other person. Keep your cool first of all, pull this punk to the side and make it clear you are grown and the behavior will not be tolerated
