You have to do all of this is the same time frame or it will not work- treat your pets and then about a week later do the rest- enough time for the life cycle to be broken. First off, treat your pets with something such as Advantage- if you don't get rid of what is already on your pets then you are fighting a losing battle. Bomb, wash all bedding (yours and pets), and curtains in hot water, sprinkle flea killing carpet powder on carpets, mattresses, and furniture- follow directions, but usually leave on for at least 15 minutes before vacuuming. Take out carpet bag and throw out of house as soon as done. Getting fleas/flea eggs out of the carpet can be difficult- pay special attention to the edges- where carpet meets the wall. Shampooing of carpet may also be necessary. If you have any non-carpeted areas- mop with hot water with a little bleach in it. There is no easy way to get rid of an infestation. It takes work, but maintaining a flea free enviroment is a little easier, after you get rid of the initial infestation.

Do you have pets and do they have fleas? If so, put them on a "systemic" program.. there are several on the market, where you apply ( or have a vet do it ) an ointment to the back neck area of your pet... it is then absorbed in to their blood and when the flea bites them, ingests the poison and dies. This is hugely effective.
At the same time, you should hire a proffessional to fumigate the house.
Good luck... flea eggs can lie dormant for a long time, just waiting for a "host" to arrive.

I has to be complete and total coverage. Use something in your front and back yard and ask if you can spray a little into your neighbors yard on each side of your yard. I use triazicide and it works. Use a good flea repellant/killer on all of your pets. I use shampoo and advantage. Once you've done that, bomb every room of your house at the same time. If it doesn't work, you might want to concider hiring a pest control company.

Use Advantage; our house was full of fleas from a new kitten we got. We tried everything to get rid of them, finally just went to the vet, they gave us "Advantage". Once a month, for two months, we put a dot of liquid on the back of their necks, and in 2 months, all of the fleas were gone.

No matter what you try to do to kill them, they will still be hiding on the animals or throughout the house, but one thing is for sure; they will all, at one time or another, be on the animals. If being on the animals kills them, eventaully they will all be dead.

Hope this helps! :)

first you have to make sure you get all of the fleas off of your pets, put a flea collar on them , and then clean your house. you might want to have your pets cared for by someone else out side your home, too many bombings and chemicals can be hazardous to your health and your pests' . good luck

PS you might have to (in the end) have professional groomer do your pets

Take the animals out of there & make sure they are clean. Bomb & vacuum, bomb & vacuum, you have to get all the eggs too or it will start all over. If it is your house, get all the carpets out...
If you get it clean, put the animals back & don't let them out again.
Or, don't let them in again.
I lived in a house that raccoons climbed up to the roof thru the walls. The house had fleas from that & my cat caught them from the house! They bombed it, & sealed up the holes, & it was clean again. I had to get them off my cat too.

Friends of ours actually had to bomb their backyard as well as their home. The yard was more invested than the house, but that's where they kept coming from.
