of cause its real,the soul is the physical being and the spirit is the positive invisible energy life-force that dwells within you.
when its time for your soul to die your spirit steps out and the soul dies and decays
the spirit needs a soul to dwell in because the physical body is the perfect way to move around in,in this world and experience the many wonders this world has to offer.
Live long and enjoy as its only for a brief moment !

Soul and spirit only are real. Rest all are vanities. All visible things are formed of invisible minutes. Many invisible minutes form a visible object. Here the invisibles are actually visibles but the limits of our vision makes it invisible. This visible world contains only perishable objects. From the point of those invisible minutes there starts another world of imperishables. That is the real world and not visible through the frequency range of our vision system (the eyes). There are the eternal beings. Every one of us must be a tool of an eternal being and controlled by it.

why are you asking this? You first asked what is a soul and now you ask is it real? Are you thinking of signing yours away for some material reward fearing being doomed ever after?

everyone is made up of exactly the same material, skin bones nerves muscles and cells, we learn and store information in our brains in the same way, our nerves transmit messages in the same way, just like machines/ computers but why are we all different? where does kindness and compassion come from? jelousy and spite, it is the individual personality that we all have, our soul, like love a thing that it real that most of us experience but cannot prove that it exists, but know it is there because we have felt it.

I personally believe it is. Mainly because of my religion, but also just because it seems to make sense to me! Once a person dies, that "essence" that made them who they were is gone. Without their soul they are lifeless. It's the soul that drives us to do amazing things!
