I highly recommend you change the timing belt every 75,000 miles, and change the water pump at the same time. You can put it off as long as 90,000, but the chances of a belt letting go at the worst possible time is much higher after 75,000.

every time it gets ****** up. This usually depends on the mileage and the quality of the belt, so it could last a couple of years, or more, again, it depends on the quality of the belt. If your belt is ****** up, replace it right away because it could lead to bigger problems if you don't.

got 118k on my honda timing belt. This is not a cheap thing to have done nor is it cheap to repair if it breaks on you. I'd say to be safe around 80k. any less is milking you.
