Venezuela is 100% corrupt. Why do people trust this man? I know Bush is a dope but this little thug is way out of his league making those comments. It was just a overly unintelligent and overly macho poilitical last hurrah. The liberals think that the media is trying to shine a bad light on this man....whattt? The media is liberal as hell! People say well he is just...and was democratically elected ..unlike Bush..give me a break

It makes me think was Bush democratically elected? He had to use the supreme court to "validate" his "victory".

Amazing that the media has no problem backing a ruthless thug like Chavez who murdered his way into office. What was his deathtoll, like 150,000? All to be 'democratically' elected? LOL

The media has most of America so brainwashed - they let Al Q & Chavez write their stories for them nowadays. Funny how Fox News still has 3 million more viewers a day than their competitors though!

Chávez utilized his charisma and flamboyant public speaking style—noted for its abundance of colloquialisms and ribald manner—on the campaign trail to win the trust and favor of a primarily poor and working class following. By May 1998, Chávez's support had risen to 30% in polls, and by August he was registering 39%. Chávez went on to win the Carter Center-endorsed 1998 presidential election on December 6, 1998 with 56% of the vote.[12][24]

Grow up!! what is so special about Bush? The office of the United States of America dwarfs that man. He was fortunate to have been the son of Bush(41). All things being equal, he would have been in the checkout at your local Walmart.

Chavez on the other hand earned his place in history. He was a revolutionary leader, now President of a sovereign nation. Unlike Musharraf of Pakistan, he wasn't cowered by threats to lay waste to his country. Is that why you despise him because he stood up to the US?
