into a bluebottle. My cat brought a dead mouse into the house and it was covered in maggots. Oh Uck! I am curious to know about the maggots. Not that I intended keeping them..they are now long gone.

about 2 weeks ,the fly lays its eggs ,they turn to maggots,they turn to castors,and then to flys,the hotter it is the quicker it happens

Wow! I was just thinking of asking the same question! I was mesmerised by the rotted seeds on my bird-feeder and how they were swarming with maggots and wondering how long ....
