as you age it gets harder for you ...like for example i had my baby boy when i was 21 ..i recuperated and was back to work in 3 weeks...It is easier to chase him and keep up with him..my boss who is 35 just had her second baby after having the first when she was 19 ..she says it is a lot easier to bounce back when you are younger and to have more energy to raise the child. the health risks to mother and baby increase aas you age as well..i would suggest maybe the age range of 25-28//good luck

There are lots of reasons out there to postpone or speed up pregnancy. Usually postponing falls under emotional and financial circumstances. Making sure your strong in your relationship, and are in a position to handle some of the extra expenses of a new person in the family.
Speeding up, usually falls under health reasons, for the mother and baby. Your body can handle pregnancy and birth easier at a younger age, and the babies tend to come stronger and healthier.
I don't think there's one right answer here, couples really need to decide their priorities together and try to find a balance between physical, emotional and financial health. Keep in mind none of these things will ever be perfect, so don't try waiting for that, but just try to find the best balance possible.
Good luck in this important decision!

The female body goes thru some changes during pregnancy. None of which are necessarily permanent. However, waiting until you are older, for example after age 35, the risks associated with pregnancy for mother and baby go way up. A woman is born with a finite number of eggs, those eggs age right along with the woman. The result being that older mothers have a much higher risk of downs syndrome babies, their risk of toxemia is higher too. And it is way more difficult for an older woman to lose the weight associated with childbearing because her metabolism has slowed. In the Journal of the American Medical Associateon a few years ago, I read an article that said the ideal age for women to bear children is considered to be from 21 to 26.

The changes vary a great deal from person to person regardless of age, but certainly a younger body is more resilient. I'm glad I had my son's when I was young. My sister-in-law had her first child at 37 just after being made partner at her law firm. I can't imagine 3 a.m. feeding and that kind of work load. Good luck to you!
