Just painting - he's got to finish one and then do the Gloss work on another. He's slow because he's got other stuff to do but I'd like him to work quicker.

I DO NOT KNOW THE AGE OF YOU OR YOUR FATHER , OR THE REASON FOR SUCH SPEEDY NEEDS.... BUT DID YOU EVER THINK THAT YOUR DAD IS STALLING SIMPLY BECAUSE HES IS HAPPY TO ONCE AGAIN BE ABLE TOO PROVIDE FOR HIS CHILD AS HE DID FOR MANY YEARS WITH-OUT TOO MUCH COMPLAINING..... AND THAT HE JUST MIGHT WANT TO HAVE A NICE CONVERSATION WITH HIS CHILD THAT HE REALLY CARES ABOUT , BUT MAYBE TOO SHY TO ADMIT IT.... EITHER WAY TAKE THE TIME TO PICK HIS BRAIN... IT DEFINITELY SEEMS THAT HE DOES LOVE YOU AND WANTS TO HELP YOU IN ANY WAY ... ENJOY IT WHILE YOU CAN... I KNOW I DO.. AND I ONLY HOPE MY 3 KIDS CALL ON ME TO HELP EVEN IF IT IS TO HANG A PICTURE.... TAKE TIME .. ONLY A LITTLE LONGER TO HAVE IT....

Why? And if you want him to work faster - like everyone else says - maybe you should help him.

Ask him if you can do it? If he says no then ask if you can help him. It is hard for a parent to find time to do everything they have to do so maybe he just needs a little help.
