What is the true meaning of being "obsessed" with something?

I always feel like I go through different stages of obsessions. Usually they are related to music, tv, or movies.

Well if you are constantly thinking of something from the time you get up till the time you go to bed "obsessed,"or your create a shrine in your house for something or some one and chant to it every waking day of your life you Are"Obsessed"but when it comes to watching Tv or movies its just something that you like to watch or listen to unless you stalk the actors/actresses ext then you are " Obsessed" :0)

obseesion is that stage in life in whihc u are completely under that things conmtrol i mean ur life seems to be only bcoz of that thing which might be spiritual ,physical or materialistic so when ur obsessed its like a feeling that u have the right to own that object for urself and so u use it to ur fullest satisfaticon .
