I read it once and I'll try to sum it up in a jiffy...if possible :P
Written by Harper Lee, it tells the story from a child's point of view regarding the child's father who was a lawyer and stood up for the innocency of a black man who had been charged with serious crimes. There's two parts to the book, one's about the usual stuff, stories and incidents happening, then the second part deals with the trial. It's really good. Try reading it, you'd like it.
Hope that helps!

To Kill A Mockingbird is about a white man that has to defend a black man in court. The Black man was accused of harassing a girl and that he was guilty. But he was innocent. Its really boring in the beginning soooooo if you read it... have fun. But that is the main point in the book!!
