It is in dispute, but his ashes may have been scattered by his wife Yoko Ono in a place in Central Park dedicated to him named Strawberry Fields, This place is located across the street from where he lived at the time in an Apartment house called the Dakotas at 72nd St and Central park west. Others believe that Yoko Ono still has them.
