Do married men look at other women the same way they look at their spouse? if they only look at the same type of women that are the opposite of their spouse. Why is this done by the men?

Men looking at other women than their spouse is definitely a recipe for trouble. However, it has been scientifically proven that men respond easily to visual stimulation. Nothing turns a man's head more than a beautiful thing catching his eye.

Also, I think they are more likely to check out other women because women are more likely to want to look good in public. If more men tried to look attractive in public, you might see more women checking out men. I know this isn't much of an answer, but if nothing else, it gives you a clue as to workings of the male brain.

Visions

Eyes can be deceiving
Seeing only what you want them to see
But visions from the heart
Are the ones l choose to see
If you look through your heart
When others come into View
You'll always see the goodness
In the ones that love you to
Many thoughts come into vision
When you see with your Mind
The present and the future
And those you left behind
If you see with your heart
In all things good or Bad
You'll find life a little easier
Even when times are Sad
So the next time that you vision
That someone face to Face
Remember to see through your Heart
And make the world a better Place

I look at all women regardless if they are like my wife or not. I know there is a difference with all of them though. I knew my wife in and out but the women are only a physical eye candy. Because we are guys is why we do this. The same reason women look at guys, because they are women. And yes they do look, don't let em fool you!

A normal male will look at every single female within a certain age range and assign a quick rating to them: Wow, she's in the top ten of the hottest women I have ever seen; Cute! I'd do her; She's okay, I guess I'd do her; I'd do her if I was drunk; look at that poor thing, she'll never find love; and Yaahhhh, please Lord strike me blind!

Your wife is hopefully a member of the first category. But true beauty grows on you over time anyway...and there are plenty of "hot" gals who are okay to look at but have nothing else to offer...blah, blah...you get it...

We definately look, we are married...not dead! As far as whether or not it is the same as the way we look at our wives, for me, hell NO. My wife has a lot more qualities to her than looking hot in a pair of tight jeans or tight top. I married the whole package not just the wrapping, doesn't mean I don't window shop anymore though...lol

Yes I look at other women. I don't look at any woman the same way as another. I definately look at all types of women. I think it's because I am interested in women, & since my wife is also the ONLY woman in my life then she is the principal benefactor of my interest. If I stopped being interested in women, then it wouldn't suprise me if I lost interest in her too.

I look at women all the time ... especially young hotties with nice figures, young mums who maybe haven't had their husband's full attention, older MILFs, my friends' wives, my neighbours, the women in our local shop ... the list goes on and on!

It's only natural for men - we're here to procreate and do the hunter gatherer bits, not to sit at home and vegetate!

Men are programmed to mate with as many different woman as we find attractive. Therefore we look and mentally note if we would sleep with a woman as soon as we meet them. The purpose of a wife is to keep us so happy that we dont cross the line and act upon our programming.

I have extremely open communication with my husband. He looks at other women and thinks they're "hot." He doesn't think "I want to do her." I look at other men (and women) who are beautiful enough to catch my eye. Occasionally, I will say out loud, "Whoah, she is hot (beautiful, gorgeous, striking, etc.)." He will nod and smile, because he was thinking the same thing. We are both attractive people, hot for one another, and know exactly where we're sleeping each night. We would NEVER take it outside of the marriage. We're free to express the appreciation of other people's beauty; therefore, we eliminate oppression of thoughts and jealousy. I think it's very healthy to keep your blood red and pumping.
