Most batteries now are lithium batteries.Lithium don't have to be all the way charged down to get the best charge. There was a type of battery out before the lithium, I can't remember what kind it was, but that one needed to be charged all the way down to get the best charge. I do suggest that you let your battery charge all the way down maybe once a month or every two months.

Actually, you're supposed to let it go completely dead every so often. Any
maker of any rechargeable battery recommends the same. Talking about
electronic batteries. Don't know why - don't know if it makes any real
difference. I do it a couple times a year because I don't know any better.

Thats true..check your phone manual & you will see " recharge after fully discharging the battery".Some phone models have an option of discharging the batteries before recharging..

Batteries develop a memory, and if recharged before completely drained continually it will no longer accept a full charge.

People claim the battery will last longer that way. I couldn't tell the difference myself

Lithium Ion batterys prefer being topped up frequently and lightly discharged.

What you ARE NOT supposed to do is let it go completely dead, because this definitely shortens the life span of your battery pack.

Yeah. I think the ideal thing would be to let it die completely, then recharge it. But, that might be inconvenient.

yes, I have been doing that your years...its better this way! the batteries last longer when its all drained, but that is not true for all other electronics...aka camcorder etc.
