Well, I wish I had a sister. Not a 1/2 sister or anything like that but I real sister growing up with.... I probably could have been a better person if I had an older sister; she could have offered a viewpoint and life experience to a younger insecure brother...
Still, a younger sister would have been fun too, especially since girls mature faster than boys, so she would have been as mature as I was even if she would have been younger.
Cheers!

I am an only child and have always wanted a brother or a sister. It has been something that has always left me feeling very empty. While I have lots of cousins, it was just my mum and dad when I was younger and then after they divorced it was only ever just me and mum or me and dad.
Having said that I feel a little petty since so many of the other responses are people wishing they had back loved ones that have died. I am sorry for their loss.

I still miss my Mom. She died 6 years ago from inoperable cancer.
I have all the other types of family you can name. I could have done with a couple less brothers, but that's just my opinion (5 brothers and 1 sister). I have loads of aunts and uncles I only see for funerals. Really sad, but true. And I haven't seen any of my cousins since the last family wedding. So you're really not missing much.

I was an only child until I was 20, when my mom had my sister. Growing up I always wanted a brother or sister...but nope...mom had to wait until I was moved out and married before she could have another one. Go figure. And while it's nice that I have a sister now, our relationship, because of the age difference is more "uncle" or "parental" in nature.

I'm the opposite! I had all brothers, all male cousins. For over 20 years I was the only girl in the family (not counting my mom, aunts, and grandmother). I think it would've been nice to have a sister but having brothers gave me some qualities/skills I probably wouldn't have gotten with a sister around.
I think I just want one or two of my grandparents back. All of them have died and it makes me feel a little lost not having them around.

I have fantastic family and a big sister who I wouldn't swap for all the money in the world. When I was a kid though I would've liked a big brother. I have a big brother-in-law now though and that's just as good.
One family member I wish I could find is my Dad's father. My Dad was born during WW2 and was adopted and we have no idea who his Dad was, so I've missed out on a Granddad.

I like the way mine is,one older brother only..=)..But I wish my Dad was still here (RIP),and he had no one left in his family by the time I was 3 yrs old so maybe some more on his side would of been cool, like Aunts & Uncles,Mom's side I have 6 cousins & their folks but dont know them hardly at all, maybe seen them 3 times in my life ,no biggy though..

You are lucky to have sisters.I have no brothers, sisters, mum, dad, uncles or aunts. My grandparents are dead,I have no cousins. My motto in life-if you don't have a family-make one!!! I have a 12 year old daughter and a 13 year old daughter, plus my partner. They are my family now.If I could wish for a family member it would be for my gran to be alive. She was salt of this earth(if you have ever heard of that expression).Appreciate who you have and have a nice day/evening.

I sometimes wish I had an older sister. I have an older brother, younger sister, and a younger half-brother, so all that's needed is an older sister.
