He's perfect for me, but I just don't want to talk to him. I avoid his calls, and I never call him anymore. Why am I doing this? Please help me figure out what the problem is! I don't want to ruin an incredibly good thing!

How do you know he's the perfect guy? Is he the perfect guy for you...or just the perfect guy stereotypically?
What may be the perfect guy in general may not be what you are looking for. It sounds to me like you are trying to make yourself want to be with him...and that's not going to work at all. You cannot force yourself to want to be with someone. And if you truly did want to be with him you would want to talk to him...and by no means would you avoid his phone calls, etc.
There is nothing wrong with you for avoiding his calls, not talking to him, etc....it simply sounds like he is not the one for you. Why dont you try just being friends. Explain to him that he is great, etc...but that you dont want to get so serious now--or simply tell him the truth. That you don't have the same feelings for him as he has for you.
Trust me when I say that in your heart you don't want to be with this guy...because if you did--your heart would be telling you so.
