Is there life in physics after Calabi-Yau objects?

Seriously, what books have been published pertinent to ultra contemporary physics after such as Brian Greene's The Elegant Universe(1999) and Fabric of the Universe(2004)? Would someone post some recommended reading lists? Thanks in advance.

Of course there is, not mass-market stuff, but there are plenty of physics journals out there.
