The Earth is far too big and heavy for us humans to control its temperature. Similarly, we can't control Earth's flight through space. What do you think?

size of earth has nothing to do with it

what matters is how much solar energy is absorbed by the atmosphere - that we can control to a degree ( water vapor is the main heat sink - we don't control that ) the whole question on global warming is whether we have enough control to make a difference

we are not moving the earth any time soon ( so you got one thing right )

We won't ever be able to control the Earths atmosphere. Its too vast with too many factors with energy at the top for all of them energy.

To heat 1m³ of air by 1°C takes approximately 1.3KJ with no losses (impossible), now multiply this by the volume of the atmosphere that's a lot of energy. We can control small environments but not the Earth.

I try not to think about it, humans have changed the Earth considerably in the last 100 years and will eventually live the consequences or our children will.

We can control Earth's temperature when we are polluting the atmosphere with chemicals that prohibit solar gases from being directed off the atmosphere, instead of pentrating it and remaining inside the atmosphere.

Nope, we cannot currently control where Earth goes.
