Im not really botherd about designer labels. But Ive a couple pairs for several years and the quality and fit are really good.
But they seem to have fallen out of favour with the fashion victims.

Does anyone know a national chain of shops where I can get some (U.K)

Calvin Klein is 'metrosexual'- very 90s. I would get Ralph Lauren instead- very good quality clothing- from House of Fraser.

As for black jeans, cheaper brands can sometimes look just as good as the expensive ones. I always buy Trader ones at Debenhams (about 18 pounds). They look as good as Levi's.
