I thought that there was no notion or physical law of time then nothing would be different, if time never enters the equation then the universe would still operate in exactly the same way it does now. Is this wrogn?

Just as space is the separation of objects, then time is the separation of events. So it follows that if there are NO events, then 'time' becomes meaningless - there is no time! It follows also that if there are no objects then there is no 'space'! In the absence of objects there is simply 'nothingness'.

To deal with your question though, what do you mean by ' there was no ... physical law of time then nothing would be different'. This, I'm afraid, means nothing to me. Also 'if time never enters the equation ...'. Which equation? I think that you should marshall your thoughts more precisely.

Albert Einstein proved that time is physical entity and can be bend and modified. We don't know how to do that yet, but for space travel that would have to be done. On how the universe operates - who knows - our smartest scientists are just trying to get their feet wet in this matter.
