It depends on the brand and kind. Companies are beginning to realize that we like makeup, but we want to keep our skin healthy, too. Depending on yoir issue, there is a makeup for you. Dry skin, oily skin...There are some that (neutrogena has some) that can actually contains acne medication, and anothers are enhanced to smooth and even out your complexion. The mineral makeups are good for your skin, too. Even with those, you must remember to wash it off at night.

No..............not only does it make you look older, all the chemicals and fluids in the make up can irratate your skin which can eventually cause an infection or more acning............also never use anti-aging cream.Back to the make up,now when you're ready to wash your face after a long day with makeup on your washing all the good stuff on your skin and largering up the pores can be a bad thing.Try just using gloss, and eye shadow, thats the best look you can achieve.

Some makeup is, my foundation has SPF 15 in it which is good for my face. And some types of makeup even help clear your skin while you are wearing them.

Make-up I would have to say is not good for the skin.
When people put on foundation they pull the skin causing premature aging lines. All the eyeshadow, eyeliner, blush, even lipstick pulls at your skin.
mascara, doesn't pull the skin but it can dry out your lashes whereby causing them to fall out.
A true tone powder is Ok to apply because you pat it to the skin or brush it on with a wide big brush.
I hope this helps.

Depending on the brand, and the condition of your own skin, some make-ups have given people a choice of not staying behind closed doors because of their own conditions. But I would say yes, if you don't end up sleeping with the stuff on you face. Not a good thing to do to your own baby face.Good luck

No matter how much the cosmetics comopanies would love us to believe that their products are good for us, they're really not, whether they contain moisturiser, plant extracts, still no.
If you want to have an equally good look without make-up try looking at products endorsed by skind foundations or reputable companies which will help your face to glow naturally. Exfoliate, moisturise, look after your eyes etc. Over time you'll begin to see how healthier and more vibrant your face will look.
When you think of typically attractive women, models/celebrities you remember their face as being natural, they use makup to ehance their face while trying to make it look natural.
You can apply as much foundation or lipstick as you like, but at the end of the day, if you're not looking after yourself you're fighting a losing battle. It's like trying to wallpaper over cracks.

i've never had any trouble, just make sure you wash it off before bed, and if you have trouble look for makeup labeled non-comedogenic, it's less likely to cause breakouts. Wearing false eyelashes all the time can be bad for your eyelashes though.

Actually, while foundation is not great for your skin to breathe, they have found that women who wore thick make-up actually have less wrinkling now because they were somewhat protected from the sun's rays by their make-up.
But now, you can get very light make-ups with UVA and UVB protection with high SPF's so you get good protection from the sun with them.

makeup is not 'bad' for the skin; it's how you apply it and then make sure you remove it before going to bed...the proper makeup for your skin type and proper application, and no makeup is really bad for your skin........
