what is it about cheating?

Why is it often more acceptable for men to cheat than a women to cheat? Cheating is cheating no double standards. And if you found out your partner was cheating what would you do. Please be honest no smart a$$ replies please.

Well men are way better at lying and being completely dishonest more so than a woman. If I found out that my partner was cheating I would probably want to strangle him in the beginning, but you know after someone cheats they completely give up your trust in them and then you realize that your trust is valuable so when they give it up then that's it. Your done. But, some people like to try and forgive there partner for cheating but it is hard to forget about the ways that people hurt you. Back to your question what I would do if I caught my boyfriend cheating I would probably realize and except the fact that nine times out of ten we were not gonna be together anyways despite the fact that he cheated. And considering that he cheated that just made the time that I probably would have wasted on him in the future a lot shorter. GREAT QUESTION!!!

Well u can't say that men cheat more then women, it's just women know how to clear there tracks better then men and they don't get busted.
If i had real proof that my husband was cheating on me, i would tell him what i found out and how and ask why he do it?
If he don't answer ma questions and has no good reason (as if there is any) just leave.
If u have a child..thats bad coz it's worse puting ur child in that position and growning up knowing that mom is doing nothing when she still has power in the relationship.
I would never listen to him if he says that, it wasn't him and ''i got the wrong person'' or " my friend like this girl and asked me to check her..etc". He just want to play around with ur head so u forget what u have to say or do.

Best advice : Leave him and change ur number and don't tell him where u going coz trust me i seen women go back to *** holes before and histroy repeats itself.

I think there are a couple of different ways to cheat. There is the horny aspect-you just want to get laid. No attachments, just good hard sex.
then there are people who do it for the thrill of the chase-the endorphine rush. Its not even the sex sometimes as much as it is the thrill of the game.
and then there are those who want to feel loved. the comfort of someone who wants you vs. the person who is waiting at home for you, taking care of the kids, paying the bills etc. The reality of life can get to you-you want to feel special again and that can get lost in the everyday life.
I dont know about a double standard.
I think it's really hard on a relatioship if you start to cheat because often, the lover becomes more important.
How can you committed to someone and really mean it, while your playing hide the weenie with someone else.

Men worry more about women having sex wth someone else.
women worry more about men falling in love with someone else.
in the end, if we were all more secure in ourselves and our love for someone, cheating wouldnt happen.

I agree cheating is cheating, but it is a double standard in society. I would leave my parnter in a heartbeat if he cheated. I was smart this time around to make sure that i'm holding all of the cards. I wouldn't be at a loss if I walked out on a cheater.

I don't know why, but you are definitely right. If I found out my partner was cheating I would leave. No time for explanations, nothing, I would be gone. I have been through it before and I stayed. The relationship never works out when that happens so the best thing to do is cut your losses and get out.

A person can never really know what they would do until it actually happens. I would take him to the cleaners if I was no longer in love with him but if I were and he were really remorseful and cut off all ties with the person... I might forgive and give him a chance; it would all depend upon the situation. One nite stand...or long emotional affair. An affair is just a symptom of sickness within a relationship it isn't the problem. People also fool around because of how they feel about themselves when they are with that person. I would have to look to my contribution in making my mate feel so bad that he would need to find someone else to satisfy all of his emotional and physical needs.

I am not sure but I was married 19yrs and he cheated on me with his brothers wife I forgave him cuz I knew she was after him and being married 11 yrs at the time with 2 kids decided to give him another chance well anyways he did cheat again later and I had enough and got divorced. Today I met someone on the internet and we've been married 5 months now so far things are working out I feel if someone loves you they would never cross that line. Cuz I never would and never have!

I think by nature as with animals; the male species is expected to mate with every fertile female within the group. Whereas there are some species of animals that pair up and stay together for life.

I think with men, if they are inclined to cheat, then they're really not in love with their spouse or partner. If I discovered my wife cheated on me; that would be the end of our relationship... it happened with my first marriage and it created so many other issues we couldn't overcome.

They say men and women cheat for different reasons. A man cheats usually just for the Sexual aspect of it where as a woman cheats to find what she isnt getting from her spouse, not always just sex.

I think society looks at "its just sex" differently than they do if its more than "just sex".

To me, both are equal destroying to a marraige.

Men cheat for the physical aspect something apparently woman arent giving their husbands enough of. Woman cheat because the relationship is missing something (usually not physical something)
