Yes, it freaked me out when Bambi's mother died. I cried everytime I saw it as a kid. Also I cried when Charlotte died in Charlotte's Web (even though this is not Disney). The movie that REALLY freaked me out all the time was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. They used to show this every Thanksgiving and I had nightmares about the kid being sucked up in the clear tube form the chocolate river....

Although it was a bit before my time, I've seen clips of Tom and Jerry smoking cigars. You would not ordinarily associate a cat or a mouse with cigar smoking, so this is a little freaky. Fred Flinstone also sold Winston cigarettes in TV commercials. Also scary by to days standards.

The giant windmill in the beginning sequence of Thomas the Tank Engine, coupled with that haunting melody, used to freak me out!!!

He wasn't a cartoon character, he was a puppet called MR SQUIGGLE.
I hated him. I would run off screaming and fling myself under my mothers bed.
I saw him a couple of years ago.OMG he still gives me the HEEBY GEEBIES.
