The premise of your question is fallacious. You are conveniently forgetting whose land it was in the first place.

Add to that the fact that the Israelis forcibly moved many of their own people out to give some of that land over to Palestinians... who responded by continuing terrorist attacks on Israel.

The question should be whether or not anyone honestly believes the Palestinian leadership and the extremists that blindly follow them, will ever honestly give up their hatred and murderous ways and live in peace.

That is an easy question to answer.

No, not they way they did it. Zionism is ugly and evil. They could just have shared the land like every other nation on the planet, but no. They believed the Palestinians to just be simple "barbarians." Its wrong.

The way you phrase the question reveals a lot about your assumptions. Israel has assumptions of their own and, whether they're right or not, sees it as a self-defense issue, as the Palestianian population hides some fairly nasty terrorists.

If someone took my house, I would try to take it back by any means necessary. If after 50 years of failing to get my house back, I would go find another place to live.
