Stop comparing yourself to anyone else.Stop worrying what other people think about you! Are you good because they think you are? Are you smart because they think you are? Of course not. Intelligence is a measureable concept. You are in this group because you earned it, not because they think or do not think you are smart. Do you like every song you hear? Of course not. Perhaps the song you sang did not resonate with anyone, it may have had nothing to do with you. Now about you. If you come across in person as you do in your question, people will not want to be around you. You sounded a little like a whiner who is always thinking they are not good enough and constantly have to ask others if they are. You are good enough, but no one telling you that will ever satisfy you, because you really only need to hear it from your self to be convinced. You are intelligent or you would not be where you are....believe it and act like you belong, confident in your own ability and talents. Watch how others respond when you do....

That's a real problem in today's society - the need to look good because of peer pressure, and the need to look better than others.

Please, do not compare yourself with others. Only compare yourself with yourself - how you were a week, a month, or a year ago.

Good luck with your self-esteem, and remember - you have special talents that nobody else has, and you just have to discover those as yet hidden talents.

You are special, because God made you special, and as long as you have God's approval, who else really even matters?

I can be the same way too, I think you probably are just insecure with a few things, but it is okay to be jealous of people sometimes, just not all of the time. Just look at what you have and think of everything you do. Pick out something that nobody else can do better than you in your opinion. I would be jealous of the singing thing too!!

Go to a beauty shop and get a full make over. Buy or check out some self-improvement books. Start complimenting others and come out of your shell of self-pitty...Join the public speaking club or class on public speaking...stop using small (i) when writing about yourself...use capital (I).

STOP COMPARING YOURSELF WITH OTHERS. You are special! Unique! One of a kind! No one has your combination of talents, abilities, knacks, perspectives, gifts, insights, etc, etc. Enjoy the freedom of being who you are. Let people do and say what they may. You don't have to measure up to the opinions of others. You are a unique creation. ACT LIKE IT!!!
