You know those emails we've probably all received at one time, that tell us to forward the e-mail on to x amount of friends and if you do so all your dreams will come true, or you will become rich in x amount of days etc, and they always curse you by saying if you delete it you will have bad luck or poor or never find your true love? well have they ever come true for anyone? i personally hate them,i mean; there you are reading a nice little e-mail but then at the bottom is a threat of unluck, and i think they are guff.. and i always delete them..but what about you? do you send them on out of fear or the belief that they will work? Why do people start them, what do they get out of it? and lastly has any one ever had the great luck/ fortune promised or the bad luck?

I keep receiving one from the same guy saying if I pay him five dollars that I will be put on a list for people to send me five dollars a piece. He stated that if I did not do it I would be cursed for seven years and financially have bad luck. I have received about six letters from the same guy and refuse to send him any money. I have never had bad luck from not answering or doing what those letters say. I would like to know however, how that bozo got my name and address.

No, they never come true, only by unexpected causality.
I have always delete them all since years ago..
So by this time, I must be dead, with bad luck, no love, no family...and not answering any question!
That is how people get to find so many e mails, so then later they can send you commercial or spam mails....

I think people probably have sent at least one or two just to see and be hopeful that it might come true but the times I did it never did and the times I did it was really only because I was naive and it seemed like it would be fun. But you receive more and more of those emails and you get just tired of receiving them just like any kind of spam.

I hate them too - it's just a way for losers to keep themselves busy in their mothers' basements.

EDIT: I realized I forgot to answer your actual question--none of them have ever come even remotely true for me. No wishes being fulfilled, no good luck, no horrible sex life...everthing pretty much just stays the same.

I've always thought they were so stupid. If I got one that I particularly liked, I'd edit out the hokus-pokus crap at the bottom and send it on.
