You have some good options really. Forget the comments the others made about your question like attaching two cycles. Considering that it is your first car, let's stick on to small cars. You can have a humble beginning with a Maruti 800. Ideally you should be looking for a car less than 10 years old and not run for more than 65000km.(Rs 70000 approximately). It's the ideal car to begin climbing the car ladder. It's very easy to drive, easy to maintain and very reliable and also fuel-efficient. A Maruti Zen (Rs.85000 upwards )would also be nice but your budget has to be extended.
These cars are very basic and not very comfortable. If you want more features and a relatively new car, I suggest you the Daewoo Matiz. These are available for Rs 70000 onwards and top models which cost under a lakh, come with Airconditioning, Power steering, Central locking and Power windows. A Matiz made after 2000 with nearly 50000km is what you should be looking for. Never mind, about having no service back up from the company. It has an 800CC, 3 cylinder engine similar to the Maruti 800. It can be serviced at Maruti service centres and parts are not costly either and would be available for the next five years.
People still buy the Matiz as it has good interiors, nice ride and a fairly fuel-efficient engine. I still drive the Matiz, which was our car in 1999 and it has not so far given any major trouble. Happy Motoring
