You gotta do what you gotta do. Other than more wear and tear, I don't see how that could "harm" your computer

I hope not, as I use my IBM about the same. I trade Foreign Currencies on the Internet. So, this being a 24/6 thing (Closed from Friday afternoon until Sunday afternoon) my computer is running and making Moola! Ha! I do set my Hard Drive to wind down and Screen to black out after 5 minutes. I not run a screen-saver. I have Bells and Whistles so I know it time to have a look.

No, this shouldnt hurt your computer at all. If you use your battery(ies) for the whole time then these will eventually die, as all batteries (even recharchables) do. I hope this answers your question.

No it wont unless you let it over heat.
And it may wear your battery out faster. Id keep a spare handy.

No. Just make sure your laptop is in a well ventilated area so it doesn't overheat.
